FAQs
Why is Arthrex providing this service?
Arthrex recognizes that many individuals do not receive the personal medical attention they need to treat or prevent illness. By providing a convenient medical center focused on providing high-quality, personalized care, we hope to encourage better overall health and well-being. This benefit provides convenience to our employees and ultimately lowers healthcare costs for all of us.
How much will it cost?
Services rendered on-site at the Arthrex Medical Center are provided at no cost to you. There is no copay required to receive services.
For what services will there be a charge?
If you do not have health insurance or are covered by a different plan, you are responsible for the cost of services outside of the clinic such as lab work, an MRI, or other diagnostic tests.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Our goal is to minimize wait times and ensure the highest level of confidentiality. For that reason, appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment, please call 239-591-1488.
What can I expect when I call after hours or in an emergency?
You may call after hours, at which time you will be prompted to leave a message with a messaging service. A member of the staff will be paged and will return your call to assist you in determining the appropriate course of care. This may include a referral to a hospital or walk-in clinic, or a visit to the medical center the following day.
Can I make an appointment or ask a question via email?
To maintain the highest level of confidentiality, we prefer that you do not use email to schedule appointments or ask medical questions.
What if I like my current physician and do not want to change?
There is no requirement to use the Arthrex Medical Center. However, it has been created with you in mind. It is close, fast, friendly, and state-of-the-art.
Who is responsible for services provided outside of the Arthrex Medical Center?
Medical visits outside of the Arthrex Medical Center will be covered by your insurance plan.
Will my personal medical information be shared with my supervisor?
No. Personal health information is not shared with anyone outside of the Arthrex Medical Center staff. Sharing information with other medical providers or family members requires your consent.
What if I go to the Arthrex Medical Center during my work shift?
If you are a nonexempt employee, inform your supervisor when you are leaving, clock out, and charge the time as you would for any other doctor's appointment.
